EDIT: It has new owners now, revised review. Google needs to reset these reviews, because the restaurant has completely changed. I gave it a 1 star under previous owners, now it gets a 4. I'd ignore the 1 star reviews, they are probably for the old restaurant.New Review:Eaten there a couple of times now. The service was friendly but an absolute mess in terms of organisation. A very long wait for food (40+ minutes at least). However, I think it was opening week problems causing these issues, so I am willing to look past it. Also, they were very busy as people were crying out for good Mexican. After a few weeks of operation I am sure they will get organised.The food is MUCH better than what the previous owners made. The bean nachos taste fresh and flavoursome. They also taste healthy. The focus is on salad and freshness more than beans and cheese. Although the meal is lighter, it's still filling enough for the average adult. Very affordable also. The perfect price point for the food and local community, I think this restaurant will do well. I'll be eating here often!
Big call... But voted best ever nachos in my 44 years on the planet..... We worth the diversion from the main highway...... Husband is contemplating seconds and thirds and all tomorrow's meals
So great to see Mexican come back to Murwillumbah, and fresher then it has ever been. The new owner and chef have bought fresh Mexican Street food flavours to the menu. Have enjoyed several lunches. The food is delicious and fresh, the service is welcoming and friendly and so prompt, and great coffee and juices too. Tacos are full of flavour. The Border bowl was delicious and so filling, and the mixed fries nachos filled the teenage son, something we haven't been able to do for some time. Thanks for bringing beautiful fresh food to town. Can't wait for night time dining to start so I can introduce my family and friends to the South of the Border experience. Good old fashioned service with modern fresh Mexican flavours.
Honestly it was trash some cheap corn chips, beans from a can and crappy yellow cheese for around $30 and it wasn't even much, I normally love Mexican food but this place was trash
