As a mature professional couple, who have owned properties in the past, we had moved to Murwillumbah, decided to rent for a period of time, before deciding whether or not to buy in the area. We decided to go to the Ray White office and inquire about availability of rental properties, it's sad to say that I honestly think that my family was prejuded and most probably stereotyped. The staff were very unhelpful, disinterested and quite honestly rude. I do know that rental properties are of short supply in the area and competition exists for the ones that are available, but the staff that we dealt with performed a great disservice to their landlords by treating us the way they did. We, as stated above, are both well paid professionals, with very well behaved, clean, respectful children and an exemplary, well documented, rental history......if they had cared to check. We were disgusted by the way we were treated at this agency and left the office. There is a great need, by the management of this office, to educate their staff, particularly the people looking after the rental properties, on how to professionally communicate with genuine clients and how not to prejudge or stereotype customers, this behaviour is not only unprofessional it can open the company to legal action, especially when their staff openly and loudly, in front of other customers, insulted both my husband and I, bringing into question our morals for having 5 children (we have never claimed benefits from Centrelink, just for the record), defaming our character, and calling both of us a very disgusting, vile name, loud enough for every single person in that office to hear, including the 3 smallest of my children. My husband, being very protective of his family and his professional reputation, was understandably extremely upset, and I have to admit that it almost took everything in my power to talk him down. The staff involved and the management are very lucky that we chose not to take legal action. Anyway we left the office, took a short walk down the street, to the very next real estate, and after being treated with the respect we deserved, found and rented an amazing house and are very happy. Thank you FIRST NATIONAL REAL ESTATE, MURWILLUMBAH, for being both professional, efficient, reliable and understanding. It took about 3 days from start of application to move in day.

Don't usually leave reviews but people like Brad Franks from Ray White Murwillumbah restore faith in estate agents. Always genuine and helpful. Also Lana from rentals goes above and beyond to help. Will do business with them again, so far so good...
