Good place by the river to sit or have a walk. BBQ facilities available
We visited this park yesterday after reading a review on it and we were not disappointed. Lots of parking and shady seating, the kids loved running around and riding their bikes. And as mentioned by D.T. we kept a good eye on them when they were near the waters edge and the pontoon.
What a transformation Budds Park was never a big hit with me except to maybe use as a urgent pit stop as there is always parking and the old toilets gave you visions of redbacks and deviant behavior. Well that is all gone and replaced with images of taking our new grandson fishing or throwing a snag on the barbie. It's all wheelchair accessible and beautifully landscaped. The story boards that I have put into the photos are fabulous and well worth a read. My only concern here is water safety and I feel a life preserver ring on the pontoon might be a good idea but the cost and the idiot factor have probably over ruled common sense.
